2018StateRaffleDonation2Worthy Grand Knight Jeff Herber presented a check to Kathy Calabrese of the Good Neighbor Alliance. The funds for the donation to GNA came from the Council's share of the proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets for a the annual Arizona State Knights of Columbus Charity Raffle.

larrypowers 108x127Our State Council Program Chairman, Larry Powers, presented an overview of the new "Faith in Action" program on Thursday evening, July 19th at the Parish Hall of Our Lady of the Mountains. The program overview starts at 6:30pm. This is the NEW format and program for councils to use during the 2018-2019 fraternal year for our service programs to earn the Star Council award.

Description:The Carmichael Neighborhood Association, Discovery Forum Alliance Churches, and West Enders are sponsoring the fourth Father of Lights Festival. The event includes a game system trailer, balloon artist, pony ride, face painters, big screen movie, jumping castles, games, food and all of it is free. The event begins at sunset. The Knights will be providing the corn dogs. Knights will allso be patrolling the boundaries of the park during the event to add an element of increased safety for the children and families attending the event. Please show up to help serve corn dogs or to help patrol the park.


GoldenPlungerAwardSometimes a member has to go above (or below) and beyond the call of dooty and take personal initiative to slove a problem. At a recent Bingo session things got a little plugged up and Brother Dennis Macklin jumped right in (well not literally) and ensured that certain facilities were functioning. At our June business meeting we awarded him a token of our appreciation. We extend our thanks to all those members who see things that need to be done and just do them. ScottySandbagsWe worked on projects at the hall on the six Saturdays from mid June thru July and accomplished a lot but still have more to tackle. Take a look at the following and let the President know if you'd like to take one on.


1stageBrother Knights finished wiring the Association's trailer, running wires and making connections for the new bingo equipment (so we will be ready to connect it when it gets here) and rebuilding and carpeting the bingo caller stage. There are plenty of projects left to be done and we will be working on them on the next four Saturday mornings. Please come and help.



We, the Columbian Association of which you are members, will be holding work-days at the hall starting at 8 AM on every Saturday through July. We will be grilling hot dogs or hamburgers and providing drinks at noon for our volunteers on those days.
