Home  //  Knights of Columbus Council #4584 Grand Knight's Message

I am an instructor on Post and every 7 plus years the big Army comes out with new guidance on how to improve our method of instructing. About 7 years ago there was a push to have instructors move away from the centric method of instructing and having the students be more involved in helping each other. In other words the instructor should stop being the single source of all the classroom information. The instructor should let students interact with each other and learn from each other.

I hope that I will see many of you at these same places and activities sharing and giving your time to others.

9 December Saturday, Carmichael Clean-up: Come out and spend time with other Br. Knights, and community in helping your Parish community be cleaner and safer.
10 December Sunday, I work Bingo, come out and join me or play, remember you cannot win if you do not play. Remember Brothers, our council is blessed to have a place to have our meetings. Your contribution in volunteering for Bingo goes directly to your council being able to have the Chambers to have our meetings in because Bingo helps keep the Hall Open and viable.
11 December Monday, I will be in Douglas attending a quarterly District Deputy meeting. Read more...

web-JefferyHerber 91x81Brother Knights All,

Instead of north, south, east and west, our compass points are Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Our faithful needle always points to charity. As charity is the greatest of the virtues, so it is the basic principle of our Order. If a man does not have charity as the fundamental motivation of his relationship with his fellow men, he will never be at home in the Knights of Columbus.
