Home  //  Knights of Columbus Council #4584 Grand Knight's Message  //  B) Where's the WGK in Oct 2017

I hope that I will see many of you at these same places and activities in October sharing and giving your time to others.

19 October Thursday: I will be at the hall until 7 PM. It would be wonderful to visit with you outside of a meeting. I will also be having the "New Comers" brief for anyone who is thinking of joining the Knights of Columbus. If you have recruited someone to join bring them with you and we can talk about the fun and joy the Knights of Columbus brings to each of us.

21 October Saturday: State Rosary Celebration in Tucson. I am very much looking forward to this event. It will be my first time attending. It will be wonderful. Please come out and be a part of this celebration. There will be a bus to provide transportation from St. Andrews to Tucson and back. For more information about the event and the transportation please contact me or any leader of your council.
22 October Sunday: Reset the Hall for Bingo. Remember the Knights receive money from the Columbian Association for doing this, and this money goes toward supporting our Seminarians. Help your Council help the Seminarians and come out and help reset the Hall.
24 October Tuesday: Knights of Columbus "Family Pot Luck Social" meeting. The Rosary will be said starting at 6 PM. There will be another Door prize. Please put this on your calendar and bring your family. We would love to meet them and have them meet us. Calling each other Brother means we are family, it would be great to have a BIG family reunion. You can help make that happen just by showing up. This will be the last "Family Pot Luck Social" for 2017 so come out and say HI. Invite a new candidate and their family. I can think of no better way to get a candidate to say yes to joining the Knights than to show them how much fun we have and how family oriented we are.
29 October Sunday: I work Bingo, come out and join me or play, remember you cannot win if you do not play. Remember Brothers, Having the Hall allows our council to fulfill a major pillar in the Knights of Columbus that is supporting the community. Bingo keeps the hall doors open. The hall supports the parish, community and helps keep the West side of town safer.
31 October Tuesday: Father of Lights at Lynn Roberts Park. This is a church event for the West End of Town. This is an alternative to Halloween for the children. The Knights of Columbus will provide hotdogs and hamburgers. Come out and help or just walk around and help be a presence at this event and help keep it safe for the children. For more information contact your council leadership or attend the meetings.
I very much look forward to seeing many of you at these activities. Please show the community and the Parish how important the Knights of Columbus is to you by participating in these activities. Grow spiritually, by participating in these events you will better understand our organizations first pillar "Charity". Sharing with others your personal time is a Great gift and I promise you will always walk away feeling good inside.
Vivat Jesus,
Grand Knight
