Home  //  Knights of Columbus Council #4584 What the Knights Do  //  Corpus Christi Procession

web-corpuschristiIt is a Council and Assembly tradition to take a very active role in the annual Corpus Christi Procession. Knights carry the antique canopy covering the Eucharist, 4th Degree Knights, in full regalia, provide the honor guard and other Knights carry our Council banner.

Parishioners join the procession,  many dressed in traditional clothing which displays their heritage and attests to the universality or catholicity of the Catholic Church. The procession stretches over a block in length and carrying the Eucharist outside the church reminds us that we should be carrying Christ with us every day and that our Catholic faith needs to be "in the world" not just in a building on Sunday.
